Roberto Martinez discussion

haha I never meant your man, it's a turn of phrase, the irish say it a lot.

y'man is probably a better way of spelling it.
oh fair enough! was confused there haha the team knows what needs to be worked on and they're not happy with draws so for me I think things will get better. We may not have many more points than last season but we're playing better and the signs are there. The draws are frustrating but last season we looked clueless on both ends of the pitch, now we're scoring goals but shipping them at the back. still think Jags would've made a huge difference holding on to leads. that being said we sit off and allow way to much space on the ball

So you think you know more than the manager?
considering my lack of in depth postings about how the team should play I can safely say I'm not assuming I do.

What I can do is watch the same game as everyone else and see exactly how we concede our goals and want us to work on that in training to help prevent conceding them.

Ash, you really need to stop falling for it. I'm trying to help you here.

I agree fully mate. This time last year was as bad as I had seen us play for a long time. Now our team is younger, offensively we are as good as I have seen us play and lessons have been learned from last year, most notably in regards to our striker and how to get the best out of him. All I want to see from martinez is progress, not miracles. If we can cut out the same mistakes and weaknesses in our game then we will kick on. I'm not personally going to fault anyone in he team bar howard but this because of again the same goals in the same areas conceded that he could help reduce.

But Ashton we never conceded any goals today like you're describing and we got beat.

Not only that Leicester didn't even try this obvious tactical plan you've said everyone does.

tbh mate I like to think of myself as standing by my opinion. I'm not knee jerking about today because they have beat quite a few teams this year, fair enough on that.

I would have saw martinez leave last March because we were awful, now I have reserved judgment and I can see positives and changes made for the better. But when the same types of goals go in from the same areas costing us points then it's hardly claiming to be a genius to say we need to work on them! or am I going mad?
He will still come at you, he had me for

1. Thinking Deulofeu would struggle for fitness at start of season due to injury (didn't start a league gave until late September)
2. Thinking Kone wasn't up to it (lot of vaulting needed there)
3. Worried that our style of football wouldn't get us results with our players (how that working out?)
4.Fearing for us this season (justified)
5. needing a few more signings (what a tit I was for thinking that)
he had paragraph after paragraph and a few gifs it must have taken him so long to prove nothing

Oh how I laughed.

Yes it is. Compared to last season when the performances were slipping. Even today we played well.

We have not had a poor performance since Utd home (maybe Arsenal)

Eventually this will translate to a series of wins (see Bournemouth) just as grinding out wins will eventually translate to losses (see Utd)

We have some of the most exciting young players in the league, however, trusting in youth does have its downsides.

There really is no hope
Being serious for a minute, Dougie likes winding people up with that one. It works every time, like.
If thats true, that would make him quite a sad person

we conceded goals from the spot. fairs fair here we don't give pens away every week so it's just bad luck we done it twice in the same game.

that fox fella said before the game they aren't a set piece team so not a surprise they didn't score off one
