McGeady is the only one I'd realistically get rid of and at a push Naismith if the offer was too good to turn down like 6-8m and we had a replacement lined up.

Likes of Gibson and Osman I don't think will be going anywhere unless they forced a move. It's a squad game and we need the depth, not worth depleting it too much.

I also think they are out of contract in July.

Finally this is a realistic opportunity, but unfortunately we'll have to wait until the Summer before we're removed of our burden of players

I think Pienaar's contract is up in the summer, so he'll most probably be released then. Great player over his time here, yet too injury prone now.

The same with Hibbert but it is time to release him when his contract expires in the summer. Potentially Gibson still has something to offer.

However, with his injury record combined with recent drink driving actions (adding weight to rumours of his lifestyle), means he may be released.

With regards to Osman, whose contract is also up in the summer, I'm not sure of what should happen. Maybe a one year extension if he's happy?

He's far too slow for starting in the majority of competitive games, yet he still has a good touch, experience and composure on the ball.

McGeady is contracted to 2018 though, and who would pay money for him? I'd be content with releasing at least three of the five.
any bottom half club would jump at mcgeady

I'm not sure as while he's got talent, as shown by his occasional nice goal or cross, his overall application has been pretty abysmal while here.

His worth ethic is conspicuous as well. Would Stoke or Southampton take him? No as he's not good enough for a squad of their relevant calibre.

Swansea? Not from that I've seen. Sunderland? They've got better options in those roles. Newcastle would never take him either.

That only leaves the likes of Norwich, Bournemouth, West Brom or Villa for whom he could go to.

Still, I'm unsure if he'd give the consistency of application needed to perform in the league on a regular basis. Would he make them better?

I genuinely see him as a Championship player, as there his obvious skill will flourish while his consistency will be less of an issue. That or Celtic.

Maybe I'm being slightly critical, however he's never really succeeded in a squad with reasonable talent which should make it easier for him.
