Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Here's his quotes:

I do not want to lose him but I understand his position. I think if Naisy was 22 years old he would be happy to fight for his place – you have that confidence at that age – but when you are 29 and not playing as often as you would like it is completely different. I will talk to Steven in January and see where we are. If he feels we can offer him something he will enjoy over the next six months then fine; if not we will try to help him out.

Kevin Mirallas needs to think about how not playing for Everton might affect his selection for the Euros next summer. You have to try and help someone in that situation, if he needs to be playing. We have helped players in the past. Nikica Jelavic had it in his head that he wanted to play against Brazil in the last World Cup. You can’t really deny a player an ambition like that.
Interesting comments. Certainly seems like if a club is going to offer them first team football then Roberto won't stand in their way. Could depend on whether we could replace them though.

How much Norwich offered, was it £8m?

Well...his hat trick against Chelsea means that price hasnt dropped significantly I suppose. ...

...still cant see him going now.

If we really see Kev, McGeady, Naisy go, then I want 3 players to come in.

Yarmolenko, Zach Clough and Charlie Austin would be nice.

Yeah that's what I meant originally, if Martinez is willing to "help out" Naismith and Mirallas if they aren't happy with their playing time then we'd better have capable replacements ready because they're the type of players we'll need if we get injuries to important players.

From the outside you have to suspect that both Mirallas and Naismith were told that they'd feature more than they hav done so far when they both were retained in the summer, no shock that they will likely both have a sit down with the manager to assess how they all feel about it in January, wouldn't shock me to see both told they can leave IF a suitable offer comes in to Evertons evaluation of them.

Guess who leaves will be dictated by whose interested in either, doubt both will go though as one leaving will probably mean the other gets more games as they both tend to be used in the same spot

Love to see us get Austin if either goes (or even if they don't), would add another 8-10 goals second half of the season comfortably and allow Rom to actually not have to play 90 minutes every last game

Yarmolenko though would just be the 'Christ we are going for it' signing

Are they though mate? With Naismith we look utterly disjointed when he plays (rare Chelsea type game exceptions ofc) and Mirallas fair enough is quality on his day but they are probably both 3rd choice at best in Martinez eyes now if we are being honest

it is a bit made that if both players were sold next month that is roughly 18-20 million pounds worth of transfer fees at minimum to come in.

Surely, Surely! that would lead to a decent player replacing them? Roberto can't be that against the window not to sign someone in those circumstances?

I know we aren't signing yarmalenko and he wouldn't want to sign anyway but if anything, our young attacking team should turn a couple of players heads if we approached them?

Well yeah but we need our 3rd choice players if the important ones get injured. If Deulofeu gets injured and we've sold Mirallas and Naismith without replacing them we'd have no one to play out on the right.

With the rise of Geri, Yarmolenko won't be high on our list, may as well through Kev in if you want another flair winger. Looks to me like we're crying out for a Mahrez type, so basically Pienaar with a bigger goal threat.

We'd have Lennon mate, plus obviously if we sold both then we'd only do so if we had a player coming in who was able to play similar positions to both you'd have to assume

Despite the fact 3 months ago he had effectively agreed to sign for us until Surkis put the brakes on the deal, how exactly has anything whatsoever happened to change his mind mate?
