Tim Howard

If he'd starfished properly he might have got closer to it.

HE CAN'T EVEN DO THAT RIGHT ANYMORE
He did stick an arm out was he hailing a taxi or has he forgot how to dive his agility is now virtually no exsistant saved a few with his chest and legs, might as well leave his keeping gloves in the dressing room, or let Robles take them over!

He's past the point of no return if you ask me. I don't actually think he was that bad last night. He should have come for the ball that led to their goal - don't see how anyone can argue a keeper shouldn't be challenging for a ball in that spot - but he was otherwise average.

It's his arrogant mug though that gets me. Robles deserves his chance. Hopefully he will play a blinder in the cup semis against City and that will correspond with a Howard injury or cock up.

No, he was very poor last season. He has been above average since last season ended, although clearly vulnerable to crosses. Unfortunately, last season made up the minds of a lot of people so now they only see the goals he concedes and not all the saves he makes (only Pantilimon has made more saves this season, and he's conceded quite a few more goals).

Barring the odd game he was pretty poor this season until Robles had a good game against Norwich. Since then he's been decent. I can certainly see why people think it's worth giving Robles a chance.

Could one say and give a figure, how many points had Howard cost the team this season. Very difficult IMO but there are aspects of his goal keeping which leave a lot to be desired.

I'm not a statto mate, I just stand behind one of the goals and see stuff that makes me whince.

It's always tough on goalies, whose mistakes and shortcomings tend to be magnified, but he's just not that good. Not the worst in the Premier League, but he's pretty much the weakest link in our first choice eleven. I honestly can't think of any other first choice player I'd rather see replaced than Howard.

I hope he plays a blinder on Saturday though.
