Time to look ahead to West Brom. Hopefully those players that didn't play as well as usual today can contribute to a thrashing of some sorts, perhaps 5-0. And from there, it'll be plain sailing.

Credit to Newcaste, the pressed for 90 minutes in a way which normally isn't possible but probably they saved all their energy so far this season for this game.

Does anyone know if the pitch was waterlogged? It seemed almost every pass was bogged down in mud no matter how hard they were hitting it.

West Brom should be very [Poor language removed] scared, because I hope our team and our manager are [Poor language removed] pissed off with today's result.

Yup. The boys are in for a hard week from Jurgen and are going to take it out on either Sion or Pulis's boys.

Chance missed to close the gap on our title rivals.

Ah well we could have gone just 3 points behind leaders it makes it even more frustrating. [Poor language removed] happens doesn't it.

nit sure what's worse with that, either they are questioning the pitch for losing or thinking Newcastle have been playing half arsed all season just so they can beat them
 
Any side with a solid defensive set up will always get joy against them. Because so much of their game is on the counter they don't have the class to breakdown an entrenched side no matter how poor they might be. They will always punish teams who play out the back poorly. If this was the long ball league of 15 years ago they wouldn't get much luck. Too many teams now though think they're Barcelona.

Far harder to play the way Martinez wants us to play than the way Klopp instructs them to play.

Yup 100% Kosher mate, could actually trawl a few of their threads pre the game today after the results from this weekend for absolute comedy delusional gold if i cba :P

Gist of it, they can win the league, top 4 is basically guaranteed now, the rest of the title contenders are dropping points due to looking over there shoulder at Klopp and Liverpool (that was a popular choice from them), Leicester are terrible and not a danger to Liverpool - neither are we ofc - although most of them don't even list us as a competitor, funny as hell given that they are basically |West Ham version 2 this season themselves, beat the best teams away from home and drop points to everyone else
