To be fair I think we've all said this in the 70's mate.
That's the problem with judging comments from previous generations with the morals and perspectives of a current generation.

Now it is rightly perceived as being offensive with racial undertones, while at the time it was (in the majority of cases) not intended to be so at all.

I'm not saying it was right for him to say it, yet it is taken completely out of context when judged in today's light. The problem with hindsight!

Akin to the minstrels on the Robertson's jam...

'This image reflects what many see at Anfield now – local youth of previous generations juxtaposed with the increasing support from further away able to afford what our local support cannot.'

How do they know he's from 'further away'? He might be a 2nd/3rd/nth generation British citizen out for a stroll with his camera.

How is that...

If it's not negritos, or swarthy looking ISIS bomb carrying terrorists hiding in their bogs, it's the Chinese menace.

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest though. They had a ban on Irish players at Anfield every bit as obvious as the one at Rangers until the 1980s.
Elisha Scott ?

They know it too.

Two days after their club's panic over the *cough* "dark complexioned gentleman" with his *cough* "rucksack" unattended inside Klanfield comes the new panic over the yellow peril taking tickets out of the hands of local white people.

Imagine if any Syrians wandered past that ground, they'd be taken up an alleyway and slaughtered.
