Bar in West Yorkshire. Message about their admirable "cheap drinks during football games" policy. Just seen the small print. This is in a Bradford postcode. image.webp

They have american owners...what if their owners were Asian would they still do this?

Scum.

Just seen this on Rawk there, bad racists.

Surely this comment on RAWK is about as cringe-inducing as you can get...

Klopp loved that.

He is such a character, I want us to win every week just for him, not even for the club.

It beggars belief, it really does...

He'll probably write klopp a letter inviting him to his mums for a cup of tea where he will be wearing full kit, shinnies, 5 day stubble, nerd glasses, and a baseball cap as well as sporting a giant stiffy that has only seen the inside of a matchday program

That's from a report their official supporters club have put to the clubs owners according to the thread on rawk. Disgusting.

You'd think they'd be happy that their club was so widely supported around the world that people literally travel from the other side of it to watch them play?

Look at Ric Wee with us (heh, wee)

We were very appreciative of his support on here. He went through a lot and after all that the game was called off!

Kopites are just weird

How is that...

...not the same as this....?

If it's not negritos, or swarthy looking ISIS bomb carrying terrorists hiding in their bogs, it's the Chinese menace.

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest though. They had a ban on Irish players at Anfield every bit as obvious as the one at Rangers until the 1980s.

To be fair, I actually do not think it is intended or should be overly perceived as some form of racial attack against some who visit their ground.

Is it naive or short-sighted in how they've gone about their message? Yes. Could or should their argument have been shown differently? Certainly.

It's tactless and yes unfortunately I think some instantly will jump along the racial bandwagon (again unfortunately that's just society today!).

However, I think the point is that they feel aggrieved that 'tourist' fans are often given priority with regards to tickets, while also inflating prices.

Many of their fans feel that they cannot afford to go to the match any more, which is diluting their support. Is their truth in that? I don't know.

What they fail to address though is that it is the club who are to blame, and not their 'compatriots' in Red; for it is they who set the prices etc.

Arguably it is the same at the likes of Manure, Chelsea and Arsenal etc. While some in their ranks will be upset, most accept it helps fun the club.

They need to realise they can't have it both ways! Yet then they always needs something to moan and march over I guess...

Didn't Dalglish say in his biography (or someone said about Dalglish in their biography - Barnes?) that *King* Kenny used to invite the players out on a weekend for (and I quote) "a slap up chinky"? Seem to remember that from somewhere.

The apple never falls far from the tree, I suppose.

*sigh*
