Pure stubbornness from Martinez. He'll fall on his own sword with this one. Howard has been poor for about four seasons, he's not going to recapture any form any time soon, this is it for him. Robles is already better and can only improve with games. Martinez has a huge chance to make the team better without even spending money. Any top manager would have just picked their top keeper. Look at Van Gaal's treatment of Romero, Mourinho selling Cech, Wenger benching Ospina, Madrid getting rid of Casillas. No debate about it, no sentimentality, when someone better comes along they are ruthless.

The cord should make it known what a ridiculous decision this is.

No mate...he was very good in 13/14.

Sadly poor Timmy was slated even when he was breaking all time records for this club.

For some reason (American? Ex United? Half lazy?) he was never accepted or embraced by our supporters. It actually put joy in my heart when he was boss in the 2014 World Cup and Blues actually got behind him.

Nonsense. Look how loved Landon Donovan was/is. You know why? He was good at football.

Howard has only a season or two left. Robles is young and has time to improve with experience. Martinez's stubborness shines again

Its so evident that Howard will start. He'll be boss in that game now. Will make a string of good saves and then after a game or two he'll start making the howlers again.

Howard is and will be number 1 unless injury aside or we give him away on a bosman lol lol lol
