We go again, again.

Re: Thread for Sensible Discussion about Klopp

"Quietly impressed by how few scoring opportunities we are giving to opponents.
In the Rubin Kazan game our ExG (expected goals) was 2.4 vs 0.5 iirc. Does anyone have these figures for the Spurs and Southampton games?"

Does anyone have a clue what this means ?..........

No.

But tell him they drew 1 1. Against 10 men.

Is this like that strange alternative league thing they do?

'Expected goals' = 0.5? Erm, they scored 1 goal, there's no 0.5 about it.

Here's the same poster to explain it more clearly

We have 3 strikers scoring at a 0.50 rate or better this season, its just unfortunate that 2 of them happen to be injured. I see no reason why we should buy another striker though as we'll most often play with 1 up top. Origi will develop nicely too hopefully.

Benteke scoring rate: 0.48 per-90

Benteke has now scored 3 goals for us in 566 minutes of play, or one goal every 189 minutes. Just about 1-in-2 at 0.48 goals-per-90.

If you want to be generous and factor in his stunning goal against Swindon in preseason then he's at 4 goals in 656 minutes, or a goal every 164 minutes, which is 0.55 goals-per-90.

Ings scoring rate: 0.53 per-90.

Before his injury Ings has 3 goals in 508 minutes, or a goal every 169 minutes, or 0.53 goals-per-90.

Sturridge scoring rate: 074 per-90.

2 goals in 241 minutes, or a goal every 121 minutes, for 0.74 goals per-90.

Origi scoring rate: 0 per 90.

No goals in 471 minutes.
