I thought Howard was auditioning for Superman Saturday evening !!

Sadly he didn't get the part.
He's now got a more realistic chance of getting this part in 20,000 leagues under the sea...

That will be embarrassing. Last season apart we normally turn over West Ham, I can see it being significantly different this time round. Bilic doesn't even have to think of anything clever, simply lob balls into the box, game over .. Howard will be wearing the armband too.

On the bright side, that might be the thing that completely turns everyone on him - there needs to be a game when it can't be in doubt whose fault it was

Why would it make a difference, as if to say he communicates with his defenders anyway?

Can you really see any manager deliberately starting a game with a 19 year old kid playing out of position (albeit coping admirably), a defender who's new to the league and only who's got 1 full premiership game under his belt, a young and inexperienced centre back along side still learning his game and prone to the odd loss of concentration, an out of form rightback just back from injury and his second choice goalkeeper, who looks like a bag a nerves at the best of times and is clearly not trusted by the manger due to regular mistakes and brain farts?

If Jags hadn't of gotten injured I think he may well have considered the option if Robles plays well tomorrow, but not now. No way he's going to disrupte that defence any further while it's got so little experience back there.

The manager needs to take howard out for his own sake.
I feel sorry for him watching him getting worse and everybody now seeing it.
He needs managing and building back up

Well he's got a choice of two of these, so like I said, would it really make a difference?

LIVERPOOL -- Tim Howard has the full backing of Everton manager Roberto Martinez despite criticism from fans over his recent performances.
"As we all know, footballers go through good moments of form and bad moments of form. They have good games and unfortunate games. That happens in every single part of a season for any player. "Tim is a very experienced senior player and has a huge influence in the dressing room. He will be the first to be critical of his performances, but Tim has had very strong highs already this season.

Amazing that Booby didn't get a single "phenomenal" or "incredible" in...at least "good moment of form" got a look in.

Experience seems to count for nothing with this Everton side. Doesn't matter how many games the older players have made they are still making mistakes most games. The difference is when Barkley or Deulofeu lose the ball everyone flips their lid. If it's Barry teeing up Kane or Howard throwing the ball in the net apparently it's alright because they're experienced players. They were experienced, now they're just old and past it. Throwing Robles in will not have any negative impact on that back line. It's not as though they're confident with Howard there, every set piece seems to be a soap opera for all of them. Robles should get a run of games as number 1 to let him calm down and see what he can do. Howard has had his turn and is no longer performing. Let someone else have a go.

Well if you read the post above from Deipnosophist and the quote given by the manager, I think you'll find I'm right and he in fact does like to have players with experience in his side.
