That's why Howard never came for it. He didn't need to. Barkley with the error, it's plain as day.

So tell me this mate if a keeper, who can use his hands which makes it much easier, see's that he can easily take the ball since its in his 6 yard box, why would you stay on the line? Surely you help your defence out!

You seem think I am not annoyed about the marking cause I am but Howard should just deal with the situation in front of him. Simple as that!

How would Howard have the composure and time to see that Barkley would have a free header...do you think he has a pause button to stop play and think that's ross's ball so I will leave it for him? Barkley is at fault also as he cannot defend but the responsibility was with Howard moreso because it was clearly in his space to deal with.......when that happens the goalie must take responsibility to claim or clear that ball.

This is it, exactly. Howard is taller than Ross already, and with arms outstretched far more so. All it takes is a shout "MINE!" and a strong punch...all's good.

I'll tell you mate. Coz if that player loses his man, or misses the ball, as barkley did today then the striker is likely to score. As he did today. That is why your keeper claims it and eliminates all them variables.

He's an international footballer with over 100 caps to his name he's clearly at the top of his profession and you're making yourself look extremely daft comparing him to an ameture footballer to try and gain kudos amongst the Howard haters.

The biggest problem for the goal was Ings getting a free header, Barkley is man marking Ings and has a 6" advantage over him yet Ings scores easily. Somehow you've got it into your mind it's Howard's fault but you're wrong, the problem starts with Barkley and if a more experienced player with stronger defensive instincts marks Ings that wouldn't happen and we wouldn't have conceded. It's that simply even yourself must understand it now?
