Not sure on what planet a draw versus Norwich at home is considered a step in the right direction.

On planet Ay-pee-el-tee (Alternative Premier League Title) - after all Norwich are above them in the real table so it's really quite a decent effort to take the lead against them and, let's be honest, they only let one goal in as well so that's a real improvement.

It's all hands to the pumps. I've heard the words 'green shoots' mentioned by pundits in relation to the failure to knock the mighty Norwich over yesterday.

It can only mean one thing: the word's gone out to the red media to prop him up. I can understand that. FSG must be looking at the next international break and working furiously behind the scenes to get someone in place ready to go. I'd guess De Boer will be top of the list.

One things for sure, this tool they have now is on death row.

Norwich 3 Bournemouth 1
Liverpool 1 Bournemouth 0

So clearly a draw is a really creditable performance.

Man U 3 Liverpool 1
Aston Villa 0 Man U 1

So a repeat performance of a draw would be a real boost going into the Derby.

Indeed. And their APLT has now realised that all is not well, but still manages to put them in 7th.....

The funny/sad thing about those highlights is how it sounds like a home game. Anfield seemed to be absolutely full of blues that day. Same the game when Andy King scored. Feels like we had the numbers to take over Anfield on those days. Not anymore. Though the lad standing up to clap when Jags scored last year was a bit of blue magic at the pit.
It was. I was on the Kop when we always used to take about a third of it. Managed to stop a descent down using the old wedding tackle against a barrier stanchion approach. Stopped crying on the Wednesday.
