sky payment issue

Right guys, another one of my issues i need advice with.

Sky have taken their bill early despite the direct debit being cancelled yesterday. I kinda need the money in the short term.

Anything i can do? The payment date is tomorrow, i cancelled yesterday, the 1st so by rights they should not have claimed the money yet. Not planning on avoiding paying them, planning on doing so friday, but it has kinda left me with no money in the mean time.

Any advice here?

Ring 'em, tell 'em you're a RS and they'll probably refund you and give you a free year.

Seriously though, we cancelled the direct debit yesterday and they have still taken the money before they were meant to. Is it worth even ringing sky up or would that be a waste of time?

Can the bank refund the money through what @Sapie88 said without question?

Put simply: they have broke the law.

Ring them up and they will realise quickly what they've done. If they try and funny business then threaten them with a lawyer.

If they have any sense they will compensate you too as if you went legal with this it would be embarrassing for them.
