John Stones transfer saga

All this "if he is sold then Martinez should walk" crap. We have no idea what is going on. People STILL trying to blame the board ffs.

Board members have said,he is not for sale.

If he refuses to play or forces our hand then it is him NOT the board at fault.

Just playing devil's advocate. You're right, there's a lot of history, but not a lot of current info.

Chelsea have known how much to bid for quite some time, and they still havent met that figure. if they bid again and meet the figure, then Martinez is right, we may not have enough time to go looking for one or two quality buys therefore the money will not improve our sqaud at this moment in time.

At the end of the day Chelsea have fannied around putting in bids that they know would not cut it, if Stones has anyone to blame for him not getting his move, its Chelsea.

Great statement by Roberto last night and despite Stones having a bit of a shocker, it shows what a professional he is too as there was no lack of effort!
What a lot of our fans need to realise is to the players this is just a job and like us, some people are ambitious and want to push themselves to the highest levels. John Stones sees that at Chelsea and you can't argue with him, we haven't won anything in 20 years and have no chance of winning a title anytime soon. I said in another thread that I think RM may be on the cusp of something special at Everton and he sees JS as a central figure for that, whether we can keep our best players and achieve something of note remains to be seen. Inevitably, if we play well and start getting somewhere then the big money vultures circle and try to take our players.

There are all sorts of fans out there. Pessimistic, optimistic, know alls etc etc, but what I can't abide are the abusive ones. Just because a player gets thousands of pounds a week doesn't mean that he should be subjected to that - yes I know it comes with the territory, but the guy in the video is a grown man and is an embarrassment. Unfortunately we (like a lot of other clubs) have our fair share of these idiots - you only have to listen to some of the shouts at the ground although I like to think we are better than most. Football fans have an highly emotive stake in their football club and expect the players to feel like they do, but they have to realise that a player 9/10 doesn't have the same invested. There's is a short career (high rewards at the top end) and they want to do the best they can financially and professionally!

See, I find the faux outrage at a fan yelling at Stones quite amusing.

Fact of the matter is this - that is a guy who probably follows Everton everywhere, who has seen said player try to screw our entire season over with days left of a transfer window for personal greed.

He can shout whatever he wants as far as I'm concerned. Sure I find it distasteful and wouldn't have personally done it, but I can fully understand why he did.

Stones made his choice to abandon ship - some fans will react accordingly. Crocodile tears don't change a thing. John Stones has zero sympathy from me.

Chelsea decided to put this pressure on his shoulders by leaking bids to the media and asking their players to speak about him. He not like sterling who doesn't give a crap what the media say. Chelsea haven't thought what best for stones, just that José want the latest new toy

Like we did when we got Stones and Holgate off a smaller club?

Chelsea just bidding for a player they want in my eyes.

Not getting him like but hey.

Clubs can bid, not saying that. We don't go to the papers leaking bids, getting our pals out to speak about how they shoudlnmove. If Barnsley said no, we would have walked away but behave like che!sea.we don't even know about our rejected bids as the club don't leak it
