i bet you would swap your life for his in a New York minute.

What exactly are the tears for my man? He realised he made a mistake in putting in his transfer request? His agent ill advised him and forced him to ask for a transfer 1 week before the window closes?I normally agree with a lot of what you both post lads and I must admit to feeling similarly before this evening but come on - if this story is true then a young talented Everton footballer is upset enough about this whole debacle to actually cry in front of the fans (the same footballer that we have all previously lauded as being impressively grounded for his age) and you feel absolutely no empathy towards him at all?
If he does stay then he will be getting my full support and if he leaves then I think I might just go curl up and cry myself but I no longer think that I'm going to hate the lad.
We're Evertonians and for the time being so is he.
A bit from a minority of our fans in the first half, but that was pretty much drowned out by a slightly larger minority clapping every touch he made.
I can understand why people booed him. Personally, if he turns out for Chelsea in a couple of weeks as a result of putting in a transfer request then I'm up for booing him them, but not while he's wearing the Royal Blue.
While he's playing for us, I want him to play to the best of his ability. If he was turning out for Chelsea against us then I reckon booing him would be fair game, not necessarily because he deserves it, but because he'd be playing for someone else and booing him might get under his skin and put him off his game a la Arteta.
What is with the "his life is better than such and such person therefore he doesn't have a right to be upset at all" attitude?Yeah?

ok thenWe've got him as long as the board stand firm until his contract is up.
Let's hope that is ages!

What is this summer that you speak of?That interview has convinced me Martinez will walk if we sell Stones this summer. Actually think he'll stay.

ok then
that they aren't worth the paper they are written on?Do you know something about contracts that I don't?
You'll have him for 12 months. Enjoy.
What is with the "his life is better than such and such person therefore he doesn't have a right to be upset at all" attitude?
All of our lives are infinitely better than the poor sods in the middle of a war zone, emotions just don't work that way.
That's not what I said and you know it. The lads rich, you aren't. Get over it bitterness won't solve anythingThere you go.
You would love Stones's life so you mustn't think there is owt wrong with bathing in the adulation of 40,000 fans and reading your name in the papers.
Nonsense, it just proves hes a 21 year old kid with world wide media on his case, the likes of which ive never seen in my life, a million different voices telling him what to do, dirty underhand tactics from some. Hes under unreal pressure, no wonder his head is recked.I was with John Stones 100% mate. I thought he had bought in and "got it". Understood what Everton and his Manager in particular is building.
Do you naively then think 1 week before the window closes and he blindsides his Manager, his teammates , his fans, his club, that it was his agent ill advising him?
And that makes John Stones is more passionate about Everton than me?
Won't even touch your condescending Tim Cahill comment. You have a problem with my posting style then feel free to press the ignore button.
John Stones may stay for another season at best, but his action the last week proves he doesn't "understand" or "get it" and I will still be supporting the club I love with a passion for the last 3 decades as John Stns counts his Russian millions at that muppet club in 12 months time.
