John Stones transfer saga

To be fair, we cannot be sure what has happened with the board and the player, but it is easy to assume that it is Stones fault.

I'm 21 and I cannot imagine what it is like to have so much pressure on my shoulders.

I think the club should stand firm but three years ago he was to old to vote, now he had his career and multiple millions of pounds on his shoulders.

He didn't ask for football to be like this. It is and he has to make the best life he can for himself and his family out of it.

I so wish that was true.

supposedly blues saw Stones after the game in a service station, asked him loads of questions and begged him to stay and he burst into tears.

make of that what you will

Can't wait to be 3-0 up at home to Chelsea in September and listening to Goodison singing:

"We don't care too much for money, cause money can't buy you Stones.... can't buy you stooo-oones, can't buy you stooo-oones"

I'm going to bed... I'm having a proper BAWK moment... sorry lads

Money Cant Buy You Stones.webp

After his comments tonight, which in fairness is a massive statement of intent going forward; if he is still sold now after those comments, you would have to believe that Martinez could resign. Listening to his comments and watching his facial expression tells you all you need to know about how Martinez views this whole saga. If he is still sold, it would obviously suggest that its been done behind his back. The domino effect this would create would be brutal. I truly hope those excellent words from Martinez tonight have have been spoken because everyone at Everton is 100% behind it.

This board has never sold a player behind a managers back. Martinez has the power to kick Stones into the reserves and leave him on the bench.

Oh really? I don't sympathise with a money hungry footballer that hands in a transfer request 1 week before the window closes, after being tapped behind my club's back and probably chatting with the Chelsea Manager all along, and that makes me a Kopite?

Cmon mate, don't be ridiculous.

hmmmmmm.....pressure, eh?

Deciding whether to leave a job paying thirty grand a week to go to one paying triple that.

He'd know what pressure was if he was facing redundancy and wondering how he was going to keep a roof over his family's head.

Careful my friend, all those decades with Everton and you still may be accused of not "getting it"
