As daveK said though, handing in a transfer request has tainted Stones, and every mistake he made if he stayed would be slagged off to death.

Everyone needs to calm down... I'll repeat and stress that Everton do not have to and are under no obligation to make any kind of statement.
The longer the club says nothing, the more Chelsea, the media etc will panic... And that is their problem, not ours.

Quiet, calm and just go about preparing for the game tonight.
