John Stones transfer saga

if I want to put a positive spin on this I could say:

Stones has put in a transfer request through his gents advice

Everton have received that transfer request and are currently attempting to get the player to change his mind

If they can get him to change his mind they can then release a statement saying "John stones never even put in a transfer request" saving a lot of bother for the player

Do we honestly think by keeping John we will win anything without having to spend millions? He is not a "rooney" who is hard to replace. Look at what our neighbours have spent trying to replace suarez who will win you trophies. He is defender and will be replaced. If the money is not re invested in the right areas in the team then questions will be asked.

Ha ha not Kenwright and Woods but Bill & John. Carry on sniping at people that dare say anything against 'Bill & John' because its becoming entertaining and apparent why they are still getting away with making this club smaller and smaller. The longest period in our History without a trophy and 'Bill & John' are still defended vehemently. Smell the Roses

John is Stones, not Woods - but your blinkered obsession with blindly blaming the board for everything and assyming everyone is either a kenwright lover or hater prevented you from realising that. I used 'Bill and John' to emphasise the cosiness of the conversation - again, clearly lost on you ...

Everyone is replace able, at the right price

I'm inclined to blame the board more than Stones, but for a much more fundamental reason. A lack of ambition and investment over many years leaves us more open to our best players having their heads turned. If we were more competitive in the league we still wouldn't be able to compete with Chelsea's wages, but there'd be less reason to leave purely to further a players ambition.

This

I don't like him anymore but I just can't blame someone for wanting to leave a club with the ambition of a championship or even league 1 club to go to a club who will not accept second best and strive to be winners, also with Terry's 3 match ban Stones will see this as a good time to stake a claim in the starting 11, he could be winning silverware by the seasons end and be England's first choice centre back aswell

My eyes are wide open. Think your the blinkered one pal. Defending at all costs=blinkered=you.

1939 to 1963, I think.

Everyone needs to calm down and stop blaming the board. Look at it from Stones view. He's 21 in the last 10 years Chelsea have won the league, FA cup, champs league and others. So to him Chelsea are a big club. To everyone who's over 25 there not, they are just a rich club who can't fill their stadium with fans. Who have brought success nothing more, they havnt earned it like United did.
He's not an Evertonian so why wouldn't you leave?
To say the board made his is rubbish. I'm no fan of the board mind you.
