I thought that he was a fine young man who would one day captain our great club. IF he has put in a request this late then he has shattered fans around the world, genuinely hurt and disappointed them. I thought much much better of him. I hope it is all media BS, but if he has to play for such an appalling bunch as Chelski right now, then he is not the man I (and many many others) thought he was.

No the reasonable thing to do is reject the transfer request and tell him that any further bids this transfer window will be rejected, so best you get on with your job, we will discuss it again next year.

Now he's handed in a transfer request would you want to play him? Wouldn't be better if we are going to sell then to sell now and get someone in quickly to get them ready.

Frankly if the Yarmolenko deal is still on then we should also be trying to tie that up too to have him available.

Well not play now but i am sure he made his mind up before the City game but it wasn't out there then so not a problem, he could of played the game then done it, i dunno, i am really worried now, even if we get a good price we might panic waste it like Spurs did with the Bale money.
