John Stones transfer saga

The more I think about it the more I think we should let him go.

If you look at it in reverse:
If Stones wasn't at the club, we only had one senior CB in Jagielka and we also had a £55m budget to work with. Would we want £35-40m of that to be spent on a 21 year old CB who didn't want to come to everton?

I don't think we would.

Maybe think about it a bit more Tim.

The request was only put in this afternoon. In theory it needs to be discussed by Roberto and the board, before its turned down. Why did you expect us to respond within a few hours, and why is it a disgrace that we didn't. It isn't a disgrace at all, you're just looking for any stick at all with which to beat the board.
If he goes after persistence not for sale statements from our club - it's worse than the Rooney sale!

You're spot on, it's been a long day, I thought Lescott but typed Rooney
Even then, Everton went out and bought Portsmouth's starting centre back for £5m, and a regular in the Dutch team for something similar.

Bilyaletdinov I'll always blame on that YouTube video. Russian Lampard indeed.

Surely the best thing for us to do now is say ok we'll accept the transfer request and publicly state the price will be £45 million with a decent sell on clause and we wont accept anything less than this valuation which will increase by £1 million every day it gets closer to the transfer window closing. Tell Stones this is his value to us and if other teams don't value him as highly that's his problem not ours and he'll have to continue improving until other teams realise what he's worth

£50 million and not a penny less... that clown Luiz went for that, so why should we accept less for a younger, better English player ??

If he goes the board need more than a stick to beat them with, it's criminal not for sale should mean not for sale!
