You have to admit that in a perverse sort of way, it's sort of a bonus that it's only gibson.....I'm sure the fume level'd be higher if it were Lukaku or one of the higher profile players. Not only because of their value to the team and the club (financial sense) but because of their sheer stupidity.

I'd still want them sacked, regardless.

You'd sack a £28m player and write it off ?

You'd bin him because he's 'not good enough' but if he was one of our better players you'd be ok with that ? Therefore your finally sentence is a bit irrelevant isn't it ? Or would you feel the , morals are relevant if you'd feel the same whoever it was and although i'd probably disagree I can see where that argument comes from . Using accidents or outrage To justify a financial decision seems a bit cheap to be honest .

He is a professional sportsmen and he's supposed to behave accordingly. If he was one of our best players then the club would have to think of the negative consequences of sacking him. But with the guy who barely plays, what are they?

There are different solutions to this situation, but with Darron Gibson only one seems rational.

I've just said whether he goes or not has nothing to do with morals. If he has something in his contract that would justify his termination and Everton choose to take that option it's a straight business decision. That Everton chose not to take it for Pienaar is their own option. Granted the last bit of my post was about the justice aspect and for me that applies to anyone, Pienaar, Ferguson etc. They have to live with the consequences of their actions, contract or not.

Why is he getting drunk at all? Isn't he trying to get into the first team? That will really help with his fitness. As others have said, most employers, including mine, would sack you. In my area, education, you'd be barred, meaning you'd never get a job in the industry again, or any kind of work involving children. He is a bloody fool.

why do you think we signed him so cheap?

Allegedly going out on the lash all the time and he started to take other players with him. Fergus on had a simple option, sell Gibson for buttons or sell Rooney.

The fact he was offered to us is down tofergie an motes

The incident happened at 9:45am. Looks like he was popping out for some breakfast or something whilst still under the influence from the night before. Very poor form, but a slightly different context from the 'too tight to get a lift home from the pub' shouts.

What really appears to be indefensible is the failure to stop charge. Making sure the cyclist was ok was the right thing to do and his apparent failure to do so looks really bad on Gibson himself. To think, if he did the right thing by stopping he would have avoided the second crash and at least one, possibly two of the charges. Obviously not getting in the car in the first place whilst still being over would've prevented all this. Hopefully he'll have at least learnt this lesson.

Are you sure you're not getting him confused with Norman Whiteside mate.

If you're not then that's some imagination and also libel you're bringing to the forum for which I tag the GOT ombudsman @the esk.

I would have thought that being headline front page of the S*n would be enough for EFC to terminate his contract with immediate effect for bringing the club in to disrepute. Probably wait for him to be convicted so there is no counter claim by Gibson

Just guessing here, but it may have had something to do with his atrocious injury record?

£50k a week and he can't get a taxi? Was less than a mile from his house, wern't it?

Completely right. Indefensible.
