Why oh why do we did this all the time. Clutch at straws over nothing rumours and then go onto break things when these players in the nothing rumours sign for another club.

Yarmolenko?? Ha ha ha behave lads, Jesus wept. Please come down to earth lads, you're only in for a massive let down when we sign Aaron Lennon from Spurs.

You've seeded a nightmare where we sign Lennon (I'd be happy) but for a typical Tottenham fee, whilst Yarmolenko is unveiled at Spurs with Levy's snide nosferatu face grinning all over on Sky Sports... I'd cry like a spoilt child at Christmas who'd been given a PS1 instead of the then-new PS2.

Kenwright stars as the Ma bewildered at her son's tears; also featuring Lukaku as a Rayleigh Chopper (last year's present) which was forgotten about so easily.

You're right though, we probably won't get him... just wanted to get behind this one.

From the Echo:

Everton are considering a move for Dynamo Kiev's Andriy Yarmolenko as they step-up their attempt to sign a playmaker.

Roberto Martinez is a known admirer of the 25-year-old Ukraine international, and saw first hand his talents when the 25-year-old helped knock the Blues out of the Europa League with a stunning goal in Kiev's 5-2 victory at the last 16 stage last season.

The Toffees boss went on record at the time to explain why he felt Yarmolenko could thrive in the Premier League, and is believed to be interested in trying to bring him to Goodison before the current transfer window closes.

"He would be a good signing for the Premier League," the Catalan said in March.

"Any player who has got good ability in one-to-one situations and brings a goal-scoring threat can find a big role.

"Our league is very physical, very demanding. Yarmolenko controls the moment of the game really well.

"He's got 10, 15 goals a season. He has good experience and is a good age."

The ECHO understands that Everton have been alerted to the possibility of a deal as the Kiev vice-captain remains hotly-interested in plying his trade in the Premier League.

Stoke City were weighing-up a move for the 6ft 2in midfielder earlier in the summer, but have cooled their interest since sealing the capture of another reported Blues target, Xherdan Shaqiri.

Speaking earlier this month Yarmolenko said he is eager to experience another challenge after spending all his career to date with his home-town club.

"I am not looking to get a new improved contract at Dynamo," he said. "I do not think that money is the most important thing. I'm not chasing money. I've told (Kiev President Igor Surkis) that this is my last contract with Dynamo. I want to evolve, to move on.

"I'm a professional and I will fulfil my contract. If I stay I will give my best in all games and in training.

"I have been with this team since childhood and I have been happy with everything at Dynamo, I just do not like our championship."

IT'S ON.

Agents who do deals can be up to three agents doing one deal for one player.

It's all about who gets best for the client, be that the club or the player.

The likely thing is, Yarmolenkos proper agent is amazing at dealing with european clubs, and the other guy being brought in is, so he can get a better deal all round.

Wonder how old he is... God, there's some shoddy journalism on show these days. Basic writings skills would be a start!

Err... to stay on topic, Yarmolenko would be boss. Not sure if he's the ideal 'playmaker' but he's a superb player who would improve us greatly. Dunno if I can see it happening though.

Seems to have the character that fits. Would be a great signing.

If he signs, this will a testament to how well we're supported away. He knows he will be loved by our fans. Depth in the squad would be the best I've known and could see a fringe player like mcgeady or naysmith going if he becomes a blue.

win win situation really...

Everton are considering a move for Ukranian international Andriy Yarmolenko.

Roberto Martinez is an admirer of the Dynamo Kiev midfielder, who played against the Merseyside club in last season’s Europa League.

•Martinez hails incredible Barkley

Yarmolenko was also impressive against England in the World Cup qualifiers two years ago.

The 25-year-old’s signing would be a bold statement by the Merseyside club after weeks of criticism regarding relative inactivity in the transfer market.

Martinez has been pursuing a ‘No10’ all summer and Yarmolenko certainly fits the bill. He would require a work permit in order to complete a move to England, but that is unlikely to be an issue given his pedigree.

Yarmolenko has long been considered one of the most likely from the Ukrainian league to make a high profile move to Europe, consistently linked with some of the biggest clubs.

He has been a regular scorer for Kiev from his deep position, and is one of the stars of their national team.
