John Stones transfer saga

In light of recent events (Stones playing brilliantly, Chelsea's defence being horrible) I would like to think that we wont accept anything less than £50m. But I can see us cashing in if an offer closer to £40m is lodged.

They can't force us to sell to them. It's simply up to us to say no. Simple as that.

I'd say its everything to do with credibility.

He's said repeatedly we are not a selling club and Stones isn't for sale.

He's going to look like a massive liar and fool if we sell him now, and his credibility amongst Everton fans will be gone for good.

Yep this is the point now. It would have too disruptive an effect on our season. Just when the back 4 looked a lot more organised than usual yesterday as well.

And with the unrest against the board, surely they're smart enough to know selling him this late could really kick things off
