John Stones transfer saga

If the club cashed in on Stones and a couple of others how would the support feel if the money went fully to the banks and the club was operating fully in the black?
No refinancing no bridging loans no squeeze to sell anyone else. Just a club on the right financial track living within its means. What might this do to any potential football club buyers that look at the menu of sides not already bought up?

Seriously?

From earning £300K a week and playing in the Champion's League to earning £150K (at best) and drawing with the likes of Watford?
2 years left on his contract, unlikely to be offered an extension beyond 32. If Utd can get a good deal for him, I think they'll sell (not necessarily to us). If you can't dream, what's left?

United have had worse results than a draw with "the likes of Watford" in the past couple of seasons.

Anither newly promoted club, Leicester, hammered them last season and Fulham came from behind to draw 2-2 with them at OT the season before when they were relegated.

Anyone else a bit disappointed by jagielka's comments in the local press. He spoke of advising john through this difficult period, but at no time did he mention he wants the lad to stay. From the club captain the very least you would expect is for him to say he hopes he (stones) stays at everton.

Not disappointed at all. I think he handled it in a very professional way, and no different to how I would expect the captain to handle it. We don't know what his advice was, and we don't need to know. One of two things will happen, Stones will go, or Stones will stay. It really is that simple.

complaint into the BBC about Shearer. feels nice to get out the system. Stones...Not For Sale. would be a big statement of commitment to close this thread

When players come over to the fans at the end of a game you can often see in their eyes if they think something major might happen. Recent examples being Deulofeu and Lukaku at the end of their loans, one effectively saying goodbye and the other looking like someone who expected to be back

Stones, as he pretty much always does, came over to the Park End at the end of the match on Saturday and there was nothing in his eyes or body language to suggest he thought he was off.

I'd be amazed if he's not still an Everton player on the 2nd September.
Cheers me up that Woolly, thanks!
