Not that they'll take any notice, and I'm no wordsmith, but;
Hello
As a regular MOTD viewer, I'm aware of the sort of complaints you regularly receive. I'm not concerned about where my team Everton are in the running order, nor am I particularly bothered about how much time we're allotted. I'm not easily offended you see; this is my first ever official complaint.
I do however, care about Everton player John Stones. I stress that he's an Everton player, because every man and his dog has been trying to sell John Stones to Chelsea this summer, and you'd be forgiven for thinking that we don't have a say in the matter.
I thought I could at least watch trusty MOTD, a platform which has up until now been above such speculation, without having to listen to yet another media exercise in unsettling an Everton player. The player has been silent, the manager has insisted he isn't for sale, so why did Alan Shearer feel so inclined to speak the way he did last night? And why did Gary Lineker even broach the subject? More importantly, why is there an accompanying article on your website today?
I've genuinely never witnessed such an aggressive media campaign, and I thought you'd be above actively adding fuel to the fire. The whole thing has left a very bitter taste.
Our manager, Roberto Martinez, has been left seething due to Jose Mourinho's comments, and I've no doubt that he'll be just as angry after hearing your 'analysis' last night.
I think a full apology to our manager, and to our club, is in order.
