John Stones transfer saga

Having seen the game again yes he could have done better with both goals, but there was plenty of class in his performance today. He certainly did not look like a player who wants out of the door in a few weeks.

The problem is that we don't defend properly as a unit despite playing 2 DMs. There is no cohesion and we get pulled apart far too easily at the back. We don't close down and have difficulty dealing with high balls. This could be because we don't work on these things.

I wish Stones was part of a solid defensive unit which would greatly enhance his chances of staying put.

My lad was saying supposedly Shearer is now joining in the 'Stones to Chelsea' campaign. Don't know if my lad just heard it wrong, but he was saying Shearer was saying something along the lines of Stones should go to Chelsea even if it means sitting on the bench, because he can watch John Terry.

Yes sort off only if Everton want to sell him that is - BBC pundits at their worst!

Yes disrespectful to our England international in Jags, yes go to Chelski, and get splinters on your backside on the bench, Stones should have to wear earplugs till Sept the 1St!

Yes it was the 'play for the best manager in the league and learn from the best PL defender ever' bit that was nauseating.

"Only if Everton want to sell" of course. LOL. Could have come right out of Mourinho's own mouth that.
