John Stones transfer saga

I seen the great Labone have the odd bad game, Jags got bamboozled today too, - this might fetch the lad back to earth realising the chosen one would probably be sending him out on lone with the odd mistake, different with us as RM is not a nasty Manager!

I think he'll learn from it. He did some very good things as well, but that was poor on his part for the second.

Whether you like Martinez or not, at least he allows him to play and make mistakes. A certain someone would have had him rar on the bench for months because of that second goal.

Yip......and if John's agent has any sense at all he will call Chelsea in the morning and tell them to forget about it fir now, John is staying put.

He makes mistakes like that while carrying the burden that comes with a massive transfer fee and playing for a team expected to win titles his career will never get the chance to develop properly.

He will be in an out the side.

So he made a mistake and he is now plop? Am I really reading this tosh.
It's not that, it's underlining (as far as I'm concerned) that his primary role is and always has been to defend and that he's got a long way to go to master that craft. With the ball at his feet there's few CBs that can match him in this league, but it really is built on sand at the moment.

Would take £40m now, probs take £35m. One thing we should look at here is why are we keeping him for a year to develop him for another team? If a great offer came in, get the deal done and get the replacements in and continue on with life. He is going to gono doubt about it may as well get it done if said large offer came in.
He'll be at the European championships next year, a couple of good games will bump his value even further.

He was terrific at defending today though Dave, bar the mistake. Unfortunately that mistake resulted in a goal, and he needs to learn from that. But it's the one time all game he died in and unfortunately we paid the price. Other than that he had Deaney in his pocket and snuffed out nearly all of their attacks single-handedly. Mistake for their goal, yes. But still one of the better players today.

He was at fault for the first too. That crossed ball in has to be dealt with by Stones.

I think Jagielka is vastly over rated, but i know who is the better CB between him and Stones: Jagielka is. He deals with serious danger more often than not; Stones might nullify players outside the box and step out better than Jagielka, but he's not at the races as a stopper when it matters.

He was caught out of position a good few times today, jags has to come across and cover quite alot.

For a defence with a 30 million defender in it....we do concede too many goals, whats the point in having him....be better off with a distin type run of the mill defender.

Is this really the bloke that all the fuss is about? The one put on his arse (twice!) by our third choice striker??

Thanks mate, we don't mind opposition supporters who respect the fact that this is an Everton forum and act accordingly.

I let your earlier comments go as naturally you were excited to be in the Premier League.

Now I just think you are trolling. Enjoy your season.

Unfortunately not, wonder if there is something to those whispers of us not spending enough time on defensive drills.
Really? Didn't know that.
Luckily for us then all those hours practicing attacking drills have made us the prolific goal scoring threat we are as a team these days ;)
