Naismith 3 year extention

I'm no great fan of his, but I think he'd be alright as a nominal "super sub". He has those stretches where he always pops up in the right place, used the right way that could win us a fair number of points.

Anything beyond that appears to be too much.

Nail in the head!

What he's good at is moving defenders around, popping up with important goals, winning headers and generally being an annoying c**t for the opposition! He can still have an impact off the bench this season, we've seen it before when the team looks flat and Naismith comes on and the energy/work rate of the team moves up a notch, there will be plenty times this season when that is required.

Definitely wouldn't sell him, we need to bring in attackers, not get rid of them!

Never really got the Naismith hate

Lad works his knackers off every time he puts on the shirt

Yeah, he's not the best footballer in the side, but he fights for the cause

You wouldn't want a team full of Naismith's when it came to playing ability and style, but if every player in the squad had his work rate and commitment, we'd be league champions

Can you quantify that?

Actually a bit tired of hearing the myth that he runs all day and puts in a shift, so it makes up for his lack of actually playing football. Putting in a shift doesn't win you games when you're a headless chicken. Has the same logic that as when your P.E teacher selects the 4 tallest lads to play defence.

Problem is he plays in a position we desperately need quality in and is vital for us but he hasnt got much ability so is found wanting.

Maybe as a back up striker hes ok
