We need an established player in this position. Martinez needs to shelve any idea he might have that this kid can slot in and save the club money. It is a very specialised role.

I was impressed by his through balls, something we have lacked for years. About time he took his chance, let's not forget he's older than Lukaku, Barkley and Stones but we still treat him like one of the kids.

First thing Martinez needs to do is bring in a GOOD striker to challenge Lukaku.

Then, he needs to bin off Kone asap after that. Lukaku, new striker, Mirallas (yes, he can play up front if need be) and Naismith (lol) should see us through the season fine, especially as we only have the league and domestic cups to concentrate on.

Then it's a case of giving McAleny some minutes in the right games/send him out to a decent team on loan, and see how he develops.

Seriously can't believe we only have one real striker on the books, shocking that.

I wouldn't worry about today, that was a massive positive regarding the lads performance and I reckon Martinez will give him some more game time but I think we will still be in for a proven door unlocker ( though ain't got a clue who )

I do too. McAleny looks to have something, but finding space against this type of opposition and PL opponents is incomparable.
