@davek the ECHO have an open goal to ask questions

Given the Kitbag comments yesterday. Plus Walton hall park lack of progress/backtracking.

They won't however. Kopite rag.

Too busy telling us we're in our "natural position"

Pat pat on head.

When they put out that article saying we're where we should be, in 11th, because it's where we've finished the most... Literally what? That is the most bent logic ever. Reading the article hit me so hard I got a concussion.

Agreed.

It's not a perfect article but it's distinctly better than what they've written previously.

The cynic inside me wonders if the club response the other night was due to the forthcoming Echo article.

Getting 'in' before the Echo covers it.

Its set pieces.

They both know there's a campaign and a lot of anger towards them in the general Everton population.

The media spin-merchants are trying to drive the agenda.

Instead of being driven by it.

tail wagging the dog etc

Yep. Can't disagree with that.

Though I will say any article that lists the flaws of either the board or a deal done by the board can't be all bad, even if it misses some main points.

Its called a 'fire break'

When you have a wild fire you burn a little space to prevent it spreading.

They're making it look like they're getting criticised - to make it look like their not controlling the ECHO

The reality is its entirely set piece/staged / set up.

To preempt the genuine deserved criticism they deserve on the woeful commercial revenue performance.

The next article will be on Robert Earl. 'The unsung hero of the Board'. You watch!

Yet again. They do not properly report where they get their comparitive figures from.

They didn't once mention Newcastle.

Its very selective and to an obvious agenda that article.

It's not a perfect article but it's distinctly better than what they've written previously.

I've read that article, and it highlights Spurs Merchandise figures of 11 million below Evertons.

Now, they are using our total commercial income and comparing it to Spurs merchandise sales.

Really.

I haven't bought the rag for about three years now and don't intend to in the future. Prentice is so far up Kenwrights backside it's untrue. Gets free tickets for the Dixie Dean lounge because he is married to Dixies Great Grand Daughter... Yeah ok. Got nothing to do with currying favour has it????

If clicking on a link isn't against your principles, here's something that Prentice wrote today :

I don't know a lot about the Kitbag deal, but this seems to me a balanced and informative piece, which takes account of fans views, and one which will probably infuriate the powers that be at Everton FC. Can any of you 88% explain to me why it's not worth my while visiting the Echo website to read an article like this ?
