Glad we got a lot of RATPIE action over early. (looks at RATPIE team ERA) Wow. Only the RS have a better team ERA. Ridiculous situation building in the NL Central - top three winning pct. teams in the NL - all in the Central. Hmmm... I suspect we revisit this subject often through the summer.

Three in a row now against good opposition under threatening skies at Wrigley last night. Be afraid:

Is it too early to say that I don't understand what is going on at all with teams this year? Oakland is +35 but 31-41? And the Astros?

MINE!!! The Cubs now are 39-30, nine games over .500 for the first time since Aug. 4, 2009 (57-48). Chicago pitchers have given up three runs over the last 39 innings for a 0.69 ERA.

Great story from the weekend of Long Island's own Steven Matz who won his MLB debut and went 3-for-3 at the plate. Such a nice thing these days for a local kid to play on the team he supported. I have a personal angle to this one as I went to the same high school as Steven.

Don't need to rush him.

He's possibly had the most hype of a Mets pitcher in a while, and that does include the Harvey train, and Thor etc... fingers crossed for him!

The Nats should really win the division by at least 12 games but there is something wrong there (beyond the thin bench and pen). Perhaps distractions with the Desmond and J. Zimmerman contracts

I hate my life. (licks wounds) Very Everton that, Cubbies. Five L's in a row. Good that we play 162.
