Summer Transfer Window - Credible Rumours Only Please

It feels like people are scared of us spending money sometimes. £8m is not much in today's market, it gets you good quality backup and that's exactly what we're getting if the rumour about Dann is true.

You have other teams throwing £20m at bang average centre backs and some Everton fans are crying cos we're spending £8m on a very decent player.

Just let the board get their wallets out ffs, it's about bloody time they did.

I'd rather they got there wallets out for a better standard tbh. 8 million is a lot to us. I'd rather we got a starter.

We don't need a starting centre back right now though mate, we need adequate back up so that if Jagielka or Stones get crocked we're sound. Dann will provide that. He'll win plenty of Evertonians over I feel.

Plus if we do buy him I'm pretty sure the plan will be for him to take over from Jagielka in 1 or 2 years time.

Adequate back up isn't worth 8 million. And as I said 8 million is too much for us.

If we signed him I'd back him as with any player. But I don't see it as money well spent one bit.

Fair enough but like I say he'd only be back up for now. He's very similar to Jagielka and a natural replacement for him, him and Stones would be our main centre backs in 2 years time if the latter is still here.

Not much more we can say on the matter anyway really, but I'm fully behind signing him for £8m.

Hairy muff. We will see anyways. If he even joins.

8m for a player to be part of the first team pool isn't bad at all. Stones and Jagielka are going to he first choice, what would you want, another freebie as back up as everybody was up in arms about that also when he took Alcaraz.

Looks like Galloway is going to be used next season too and Martinez sees him as a centre half long term.

Why do people give a hoot about the fee? It's not your money, people will moan about absolutely anything.

If it was 8m for dann, it wouldn't be ipfront and it wouldn't even be the full deal probably, i'd expect it to be more the 4m mark with add ons and then other fee's to round it up to 8m.

What i do know is he's been making noises in Liverpool via his family about wanting to play for either us or liverpool for ages, and if his agent has told him we want him, he will ask to move. But that's actually IF we've stated our interest.

Well no. If we pay £8m, which I don't think we will up front, that effectively ends any more wingers coming in unless we sell Mirallas. We still have a gun AM and a striker to get. So unless we hit the loan market again we are out of money.

Mirallas is going, it's obvious, so we will have money, end of problem.

Nobody on here knows what money we have too. Suggesting that's the budget blown is just silly.

As long as he isn't purchased as a contingency for one of our main two leaving. Stones.
