The thing is with Podolski, he only has one year remaining on his contract, so may not be that expensive, Arsenal may even let him just leave, it was reported that Wenger had "told him to find a new club" (link below). Im not sure what his wages are (some have said £100k per week) and he could be going to Turkey (second link below). I would have thought he would go where ever will give him the most money. I know players talk about finding "The right club, right coach, right environment", but in reality he will go to whoever will offer him £100k a week or more.

The thing that irks me when we're linked with people like Podolski and Richards is saying huge wages. How can two players who can't get a game for their side and struggle on loan too then move for free/on the cheap and actually demand big wages? No one will pay £100k per week for Podolski these days, maybe in the past, but not now.

.....Catalan Newspaper, Sport reporting some quite low level detail regarding Deulofeu and Everton;

Everton will pay €6m and Deulofeu will sign a contract which is for an initial three years until 2018, but which has an option on Everton's side for a an extra year so a four year commitment. Barcelona will have an option to buy Deulofeu back, which will be incredibly annoying for Everton if he's a success. Sport say that if Barcelona want to buy Deulofeu back at the end of the next season then it'll cost them €9m. If they want to buy the player back at the end of the 2016-2017 season then they'll have to pay €12m. The buyback clause ends after that.

Agree that United used him wrong. My thoughts on him are that he is not physically good enough for the PL, play him in the centre and he would probably get bullied by all these strong centre backs and central midfielders who play here in England. He's a neat little player in the Bundesliga but I'm not sure he's gonna be a success here in England ever.
