Aye it was a sly dig at their opinion of themselves lid. They're not though mate are they?
I mean, let's be realistic
Next season, they'll do well to finish 4th and maybe have a cup run
Chelsea, Arsenal, City and United will be fighting for the title next season
If Milner tightens up their midfield and Ings can grab 15 goals, that gives them a chance to finish in the last Champs League slot

Hahaha. Ok I'll know for next time bra.Ah, you should have put a #Satire at the end of it mate
I would have clocked then
Hahaha. Ok I'll know for next time bra.
Rodgers is in a terrible position, as you say. His authority is now non-existent. Even the support have turned on him. It'll only get worse. Surely he's decided that the name of FSGs game is constructive dismissal and that he wont react to provocation in the shape of his assistant being sacked (giving him the benefit of the doubt on that one...which might not be too realistic!) and he's holding out for the big pay off compensation package?
They're signing players still, but they could be okaying them with a potential successor. Who knows. But it defo has the feel of a zombie regime about it now this Rodgers one. I really cant see it going on too much longer.

Charlie Austin is better IMOHuge risk buying a forward after one top flight season. Michu, Holt, Fletcher, DJ Campbell, even crap like Balotelli managed double figures one season
Mentally, Rodgers will have gone past the point of no return, unless he really is stupid. He knows the fans wanted him out and that FSG don't trust him. His concern, as you say, is now all about how does he get a payoff and try to retain some kind of credibility. He should have walked and at least shown himself to be a man of principle, he will now be seen as a weak manager with a 'throw anybody under the bus' yellow streak...........
We're fighting for 11th place, they're challenging for the title mate.
We need to be careful not to go down the same route in regards to certain subjects on here, such as the manager
Free debate must exist
He'll stay, but for how long? My guess is he's prepared to ride things out (we all know how hard faced he is) and then get FSG to fire him to trigger his compensation package.I honestly think he's gonna stay. I think he's just been put in his place by the yanks.
For all intents and purposes, the fraud wants to be a manager. Well, the fraud shouldn't have took the job for the reasons Roberto jibbed them. The yanks have basically given him a slap, and ruthlessly reminded him that he's only the head coach.
All in all, it's a pretty shambolic looking hierarchy over there.
