ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

He was always good for a laugh, Rodgers. Anyone with a couple of brain cells to rub together could see it was the Peter Principle personified: elevated way beyond his rightful grade and destined to remain a no mark. A mirthful appointment to sit back and enjoy if you were a blue.

However, to be willing to get on his knees and crawl for his job like this makes him pitiful as well as laughable. The feller's pathetic. He's living off the scraps of a Luis Suarez wonder season, but his three year reign has been a calamity and he knows it.

Anyone with self respect would seek a way out and join his right hand men who were sacked; shamefully he's remained and would rather be a lame duck manager waiting for the axe to fall. What a chancer.

This is the best part of it. Shown to be a fraud and a coward with no morals, all wrapped up in one greasy package......Who on earth would want to work with him........

to replace Mike Marsh.

An act of treachery. Pretty much sums up Rodgers agreement to allow that to go through. It's basically like Werner saying to him "you're my bitch, ok?" ...and the no mark obediently replying "yes boss".

A horrible thing to have to say about even a Liverpool manager, because after all these owners -like all owners - are absolute pond life. But in this instance it's been richly earned. FFS, how could the Uncle Tom sell out throw his mate Pascoe under the bus, he's known him for years?!

What a ****ing rat of a man.

He has all the morals of a Chinese ferry captain

That's quite damming isn't it! Just stopping short of calling him a gobshite but shows him up to be a spineless chancer who clearly had the offer to fall on his sword with dignity or look a two faced rat who puts self preservation above loyalty. Great for team moral that!!

My worry is FSG really want shut now and are slowly turning the screw to force his resignation. I expect in the next few day/weeks they'll announce their appointing a director of football and put more pressure on him to walk.

Makes you wonder if they'll let him have a say on who his assistants will be if they jettison the ones hes had by his side by choice. The club is mildewed at the moment on and off the pitch and I would surmise some prospective coaching staff would think a bit longer than normal about throwing their hat in the ring with Rodgers given his tenuous hold on his job...and the real fear that he could be out on his arse by Christmas and them too with the bathwater.

I think the tactic was to get him to walk, but the fraud has no moral courage and so he will stay until they pay him off...

It'll defo be FSG choices for the posts. They'll be working for Henry and Werner, not Brendan Rodgers.

FFS Gnashers, have some dignity and walk you unprincipled sewer rat.
