I voted out now, though I would be ok for him to continue if he admits mistakes have been made and rectifies them. From pre season onward we have looked off the pace and someone is to blame. The buck stops with the manager but perhaps a change in backroom staff or a better fitness coach would make a difference.

To finish 11th with this squad and out of both domestic cups at the first hurdle (home tie with West Ham ffs) was unacceptable.
The football was ponderous and predictable too. Huge year ahead.

It is pivotal we get back up there next season. You look at Villa's recent demise and that shows you exactly what the wrong managerial appointment can cause.

Given the squad of players this has got to be one of our poorest seasons ever. As well as being poor, performances were totally numbing and beggared belief. The school of science is not on its way back but has hardly ever been so dull. Apart from Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea in patches, we were woeful. Certain games we had no or one shot on target!!!
Biggest factor for me is that we have all seen Everton lose over the years but have come away proud as they put a shift in and gave it a good go. Just doesn't happen anymore. We don't bounce back from a bad result anymore, we often produce a worse performance the following week. I have renewed ST as have missed 5 matches in 40 years but given the squad, have never seen such dross.

There seems to be a lot of people prepared to give him a few months more. You can hardly call that a ringing endorsement.

This!!

I wanted him gone many months ago. Since then he turned things around (a little) changed his tactics and improved results (a little)

Therefore I've eased off a little to be prepared to give him a few more months. However I have no confidence in him and fully expect him to balls up again come start of next season. The pressure will be immense if we get off to a bad start again!

It's a bit of a catch 22 tho imo really. Whatever my thoughts on him would I want him replaced now by someone like allydice or the next young gun? No not really don't see the point. A big name? Yes absolutey....see yer Bobby!!

True. I hope he gets another full season to get things sorted. What I don't like at the moment is, not so much that it is unclear how we are trying to score goals, but that it is unclear whether we are trying to score goals.....

Gimme a realistic 'big name'...you can't.

Any 'big name' is beyond this club at this point. Until you and everyone else accepts that fact, we will continue to in fight over idiotic pipe dreams. Guaranteed CL football is the only thing that will attract 'big names' with a CV. Until we are funded like the moneyed clubs, we can not and will not attract the sort of manager you are suggesting. We will have to hope that a Moyes or Martinez can bring us to the promised land and develop themselves into that guy.

I'm sure your right cheese. It doesn't change the fact though that is what this club needs. A big name manager.

There's players young and old in this squad that need that calibre of managed to progress. As you said getting such a manager is near on impossible.

Unfortunately players like barkley, stones, McCarthy, even older players like Coleman, Baines, jags are unlikely to win anything or reach their full potential remaining at everton playing under an average manager.
