Re written history? Where have I done that?

You don't think Moyes was a utter failure at United?

Moyes never had the chance at Utd mate and Van Gaal has done the exact same tactics as him but the players have decided he is worth playing under (I would also add he hasn't been in the same league as a Kopite side with a fully firing Suarez and Sturridge up top which imo would have had utd out of the top 4 again)

But people just CAN'T give credit to moyes and it winds me up, am I a fan of the bloke? No he burnt his bridges with his actions towards the end but pre Man City takeover he took us from the doldrums to a regular top 6 side with eff all backing from the board, compare that to what martinez achieved at wigan with similar backing he took his side backwards then down (bu bu bu he won 1 trophy in the process)

It's my OPINION that both Merseyside clubs have given their manager vacancies to the wrong men and I'll stick by that. Nothing martinez has done this season or in the transfer window (even his best signing in Rom he plays tactics that goes against his main strengths) has convinced me he is the right man. We were great last season but so are Southampton this season and villa under Sherwood let's see how they are after new manager syndrome.

Moyes had one single season, after the inevitable hangover of losing arguably the best manager in recent British history and the United new chief executive managing to stuff up every transfer move they attempted to make.

If you're calling managers utter failures after a season, then after this travesty of a season here then Martinez is also an utter failure and then some!!

moyes twice the manager of martinez? think if you look at what each have achieved it doesn't say that.

and don't use the martinez got relegated argument to support the judegement because i'm yet to see an honours board that says "avoided relegation" on it.

Name any top manager who has taken a team down

Where was it we finished in Moyes' second season?

As for today, we looked like we didn't have a clue. Glad the season is over.

Moyes took a everton side worse than wigan and made them a consistent top 6 club until city's billions arrived.

Martinez done nothing but relegation battles and wow fluked a pot like other managerial titans like Alex Mcleish.

Like I said different financial climates for both managers we would have had a striker in Negredo and midfielder like Moutinho had moyes had martinez's budget this season

again. i'm failing to actually agree with any of your points. no way was the everton team moyes took over worse than wigan's. they're in league 1 now and have hardly sold a mass of players.

negredo would have been a better buy than lukaku? jesus me.

seems like you can't compliment martinez, everything he's ever achieved has been a fluke. next you'll be saying rodgers was the one who set up swansea because he got them promoted to the prem rather than martinez.

why are people still talking about moyes? He's gone so just let it go. Also he was here for 10 years while Martinez has had 2. Obviously this season has been dreadful while we had a fantastic one last year. Just have to see how next season starts to see which is the "fluke"
