Steven Gerrard: GOT Retrospective

He is the best midfielder in the Prem if I was to be honest, yes Lampard has a better record but Gerrard has played on his own with a couple with him maybe throughout his entire career at the sh*te.

I can't stand him, like the rest of us, but I'll give him respect, and if he played for us, we'd have loved him like them lot do.

The best thing is it's over now, I've waited 10 years to see the back on him, and maybe that's the ultimate compliment.

Still an absolute DJ bashing Starfish sh*thouse though, goes without saying.

He wasn't even the best midfielder at the RS........

A certain Xabi Alonso was the best......

But he wasn't the best midfielder at the RS......
Name names lad, I ain't going to let my hate cloud my judgement.

Keane, Scholes, Viera, are the ones I think of in Slippy G's era and I'd have him over those 3 all day long, he could do everything.

It hurts a bit, but I'm just telling it how I see it, and he did it in Redsh'te sides that were poor compared to the likes of Arse, Manure and Chelski.

He single handily won them a Champs league, and a few other trophies besides.

Blue or no, I'd have Scholes over SG any day of the week

Alonso was never a better player lid, come on, sitting back spraying passes, he could never do what Gerrard did.

I'd love to agree with you, but I can't.

Gerrard has been a great player, and the best bit is he's done now, next season he won't be in the Derby.

Scholes, alonso, viera, Matic , etc, etc
Could not hold a light to him, he was a complete midfielder, not good at a couple of aspects, he could do it all.

The best bit for me is its done, he'll never face us again, he'll never drag them into wins they never should have had.

He was never 'world class', and he only ever looked at his best played behind Torres in a free role. Give him any responsibility deeper and he went to [Poor language removed].
