I dont blame him for that as it happens. If some idiot club wants to lob him a wad of cash for a year or 2, then fair play in my book.

Happened to far better players than him in the 70's with the likes of Pele and Beckenbauer going there.

....I know but pub Reds are saying he's unique as a one club man. I say what about Hibbert and Osman, they say "who are they".

.....who knows. Always like to judge a manager on who they buy and sell but it's difficult when they don't have a track record. They will look at the Dalglish example for what he achieved first time around.

.....good point, almost worthy of a separate thread. Thinking Bobby Charlton and Booby Moore didn't cut it. Bryan Robson had limited success. Suppose Jack Charlton did ok.

of course not - said before, he doesn't have a footballing brain. he game was based on his energy. he's one of the worst DM's the premier league has seen. the only way he'll make a good manager is if he has a really good assistant. it's almost impossible for anyone to be a poor manager at liverpool though given the dodgy decisions they get year on year and the sheer luck that club seems to inherit.
