Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics

He was only good in the World Cup because Origi hit everything at him. As soon as Lukaku came in he has it in at the near post after Howard has gone down too early, sound familiar?

These stats also show John Stones is boss, our team is lazy and we're rubbish at passing.

Also not as fit as those Burnley lads and we play them soon. Not surprised about Howard, i shake my head at the prospect of next season knowing that RM will pick him. Lukaku does not out that well either. Damn the stats.

He lets in 1 out of 16 in the USA WC game but is now letting in 7 out of 16!

He's always had issues with his positioning and late movement when facing shots from distance but now he also seems to have lost a split second in his reflexes. Not good.
this is exactly what I've been trying to say mate. He's never had good positioning but his athleticism used to make up for it but now he's aged it's being exposed

That is startling. He only has 4/24 clean sheets this year as well. Robles has 3 from 7 games. If you look in more detail, Howard has conceded n average of 1.5 goals per game whereas Robles only conceded 0.85 goals per game.

Howard was usually good for 10-15 clean sheets a season, should give Robles a chance in the remaining games

It really was an embarrassingly bad decision bringing Howard back into the side wasn't it? What was Roberto thinking?!

So this is saying the Naismith is far better at finishing than Lukaku?

It's the forwards most likely to score from the chances they are offered/best shot conversion rate
Sergio Agüero has scored 17 goals this season and is not in the top-20 list.

So Stoke’s Walters is No 1, he's made 24 appearances & scored 7 goals

Sergio Agüero is not in the top 20, he's made 25 appearances & scored 17 goals

I know who I would sooner have in my team

Correct. By some distance as well.

Say what you want about Tim but the biggest concern is our manager can fail to see what he does to a defence and how poor he has been this season. Doesn't stand us in good stead going forward like.
