It was good, we still didn't win a trophy and we didn't get into the Champions League due to us losing 3 out of the last 4.

The pressure is off us now, we have a squad of players that at the very least should be in the top 7. I expect us to pick up a decent return for the rest of the season. That will not change my mind about the manager though, because no matter where we finish this season, it will not be good enough.

Fair enough, but I think you have to see this final phase as a different 'season'. Last ten games can be looked at in isolation and judged as to the way RM and the players have pulled their finger out...or not, as the case may be.

But the game in that sequence that really mattered, we got thumped in.

We've beaten QPR and Newcastle, two equally bad teams. We have not taken apart decent opposition here.

Pfft. We're one of the in form sides in the Premier League right now, based on the very recent games.

The first win against Kiev is null and void considering they put five past us in the second leg. It's good that we have put the relegation nonsense to bed but if we are honest we have beaten two poor sides in Newcastle and QPR. We've got Southampton, Swansea, Burnley and Man Utd coming up in our next four - if we play well and take 7 points from our home games that's a solid foundation to build on. We are well capable of giving anybody in the league a game at Goodison so we shall see where we are after this run.

Ideally we will have a strong finish to the season and buy well in the summer by addressing the issues in our squad. Throw in a proper pre season and we are all set for next season.

That was the point where I began to suspect he's just a more aesthetically pleasing Moyes.

Dave will never admit he's actually hating this season, he's made his bed and is lying in it, unfortunately everyone is just laughing at him. He's a proud man obviously and is standing until the last.
