Seems a long time since he was clear choice to most people as POTY.

Pity Hibbert isn't fit until April as otherwise would give him a break. If we win at QPR, would probably play Browning for a few games to give him a rest and see if that returns him to form.

No denying that when he is on form his attacking is brilliant but he is not a great defender. Backs off too much and lets players blind side him all too often and add to that he can't get up to head a ball. Arsenal at home and Chelsea at home exploited him cruelly. He is bang off form this season. Don't know what the answer is but I would currently rather have a more capable defensive right back at the moment

Best right back in the prem to last night is down to disorganisation - team selection by RM and the confidence is receding all over the pitch!
Bang on the full backs get no help.
Naismith was awful last night leaving baines on his own .
The thing is if coleman goes to the likes of man utd he will end up being the best right back in the league.

The support for him and Baines/ Garbutt all season has been dreadful. The fact we play most games without wingers means they are being expected to do all our attacking wide play, but with no support, they are so easily isolated. Arsenal away was a fine example. Coleman and Garbutt probably the only two players who did well in the game, kept getting forward, then finding themselves at the byline with 3 men to beat.

Newcastle, Lennon actually played the game in front of Coleman, and it gave him someone to play off, hence his best performance in the League in ages.

Just watching the goals again. He's awful for their second. When it goes over Alcaraz's head he makes no attempt to get his own on it.

Used to be amazing defensively. Im not judging him for this season. Pre the dark days he was the best rightback in the league boss in defense, hard in the tackle, making all sorts of goal saving headers on the back post, covering his centrebacks. To adf to this he was great going forward, pace aggression, good in possession. He was the complete player and could dominate wingers and fullbacks by himself. Most of our defensive errors came from the other side.

I don't even want to talk about the shadow of the player he is now. He's unrecognisable. I'll never forgive Martinez for reducing him to this.

Very much a confidence player I think = massive variation in performance between when he is on form and off form. There is so much self doubt in this team currently and Seamus is suffering as much as anyone.

Think i said after the first few games it looks like his head might of been turned by another team and since then hes just not chnaged
