Player Valuation: £35m
Didnt bother with GOT last night after game. Logged in this morn to read some very amusing posts ie. Get rid of Coleman, lukaku has to go,hibbert needs to start sunday etc.
How about opening a beer after the game. Turn the football off and post the following day when the dust settles.
All know what was wrong last night. Move on to sunday n support the team. Wev been lucky in europe all season n last night the god awful defended cost us.

It's sad that the forum has become infected with kneejerking. It's got to the stage that one below-par performance is all a player needs to have a large number of the fanbase turn on them. To be fair, the same lack of thought is being displayed towards players who have one above-average performance and are immediately hailed as better than anyone else in the club.

Most people would benefit from recording the game and watching it a second time in order to better inform their opinions.

Having said that, Alcaraz has always been a poor, poor player. His recent selections ahead of Distin have been something I have criticised with total consistency, and last night's debacle was predictable and preventable. He nearly gave away a goal last week in the first leg with a suicidal no-look pass back to Howard, and in most games he has shown a worrying tendency to get beaten in the air. The milkman would not have lost all three of those vital headers, regardless of he kneejerkers declaring him useless... the same kneejerkers who all proclaimed Alcaraz as decent after the Newcastle game.

We could have had Distin, Mirallas and Eto'o in the team last night instead of Alcaraz, Kone and a vacant space where a winger should have been. Think about that.

It's a forum mate.

It's here for people to rant and rave after a match. We can't really go round telling people what to do.

I hate all this 'support the team' stuff too. None of us stop supporting Everton, no matter what our opinions on Martinez, or the players, we all want the same thing. Everton to win.

So for once, it would be nice if the players and manager didn't let us down.

I agree with the 'support the team' shouts up to a point. I also dislike knee jerk reactionary posts - however sonetimes it's ok o have a ruddy good moan and it not be a knee jerk reaction.

Yes we should support the team, but last night was bad so the team should do something about it, end of.

Totally mate.

We all support the team. It'd just be nice to be rewarded for it.

After a game emotions run high, and 'knee jerking' will always happen. Nothing wrong with it really.

It always calms down.

Distin and Alcaraz have both been liabilities this season and if Distin had played the result in my opinion would probably have been the same. The curious thing is the non selection of Stones he must have been fit or Martinez would have had Browning on the bench. Also Martinez can't say he wanted to reward a player for a good performance in previous game as he dropped Robles as soon as Howard was back.
