It wasn't a change in tactics that transformed the Kiev game. It was a change in the attitude of the players.

They found a little more confidence and played with a little more conviction. It made all the difference.

What caused the change? I don't know. Why is this season so different to last season? Again, I don't know.

Perhaps it was the Kiev goal. Perhaps it was Lukaku's free kick. Perhaps the players decided that now was the time to take the responsibility. Confidence is an elusive thing, but makes such a difference to football.
