why stop there...pull out 1984 while at it. How many of the players are the same players this Season? Howard, Distin, Jagielka, Barry, Mirallas, Deulofeu, Pienaar, Osman.

Will all need replacing. You still see a top 6 squad there?

The only player we dont have from last season is the Spanish lid, are you suggesting that hes worth around 10 places?

I'm suggesting those players I mentioned have not given us the level of output from last year, and are not going to in the future. And that none of the rubbish we have brought in to replace the Spanish lid with the sexy legs @LinekersLegs , have produced anything better.
Hence, massive rebuild needed. Hence, imho there is no place for Top 6 with this squad as it is.

if they were fit all season, yes. But that is part of the problem - a lot of those you have listed have spent several weeks out with injury.
