how can you fault that Davek?

'Martínez must produce a repeat of the final hour against Dynamo in the remaining 10 league games to restore confidence in his tenure. Otherwise, the fear will grow at Everton that it is Wigan Athletic all over again, only with better players and no excuses.'
It's an ultimatum given by some piss head hack to a man who's forgotten more about football in an hour than that nobhead will ever know. Don't you see the farcical nature of that? I do.

The date was correct.

I mean what is there to say that hasn't been said already in that article? We need to break down stubborn defences at home? Yeah, cheers. Thanks for pointing that out.

It's just pandering. I see no merit in that piece whatsoever.
Fair enough.

There was certainly nothing new presented to the fans but I thought it was a reasonable if somewhat cynical summary.

Last paragraph sounds like he could have been speaking to any of the 60 odd % on here who are worried mate. Nothing that he's said has wound me up. If they say what they are told then someone is telling him to write it, wonder who that would be?

At the end of the day results will determine Bobbys tenure, not what journalists write.
You can be sure it's some snake inside the club.

That's the nature of that piece - spoon fed reporter acting as a megaphone. That's all that is. He's just a typical footy journalist - a zero credibility careerist who feeds off turmoil. He's no friend of everton.

Possibly. Possibly also the majority feelings of the supporter base as well. Particularly those that go to the games every week.
I don't think they want him sacked. They want to give him time to prove himself, and to regain the player and supporter confidence of his 1st season.

The irony is that if we get that bloody win I have been saying we are due for what seems an eternity now, we will be clear of any relegation talk.

I feel for him as well as we(the players) just seem to implode when it looks like we can get that win!

The last paragraph didnt make any sense, it was a fairly neutral piece all the way through and then a random WiganTon dig thrown in at the end.
True...but that is what Roberto will have to live with and deal with until he proves himself as a Manager. Tough game football.

I think your right. Results make garbage like this piece go away fast.

If I was Roberto I'd be taking names at the moment and when we are back to form I'd make sure whatever snide had put the boot in never got another sniff of a quote much less interview.

Footy journalists are just.....I d better stop there!

I don't read papers mate. Just opinions of tossers that think they are experts for some reason.I prefer to form my own opinions.

Last night was a return to last seasons pace of passing. How is that change?

If you want a hoofball manager you'll get a different brand of football than you watched last night second half. Roberto's way works. We'll play the mangers way, no one else's.

There are those that are blind and cannot see.

And there are those that have sight but are blind because they refuse to see.

Give him time.

He needs to learn to play two wingers at a time and only two defensive midfielders. Once he gets that, we'll win everything.

COYB!

He needs a better quality of players that can play the style. That could take 2 or 3 more off seasons to get. Patience and long term vision required!

If after managing in football for what 5 years or so? you don't know you need to play 2 wingers then there's no helping you.

Some people in life will never learn. Whether thru being stupid or stubborn.

Once again, Davek peddling the myth that the only option to the pedestrian, predictable, toothless Martinez approach is to play hoofball.
