I have changed my mind and he has the Newcastle game to extend his stay for me! If I was Kenwright, I would have somebody ready to step in if we do not get a win in that game.

Anybody still thinking we will just easily turn this around and we have been unlucky is living in a dream world.

This isn't a blip, it is not a bad run of form, we have actually become a bad side who play completely ineffective and dreary football with no end product. Hence the lack of goals and the low points total.

We have seen enough bad sides in the past, but they had the excuse of actually having bad players in them.

This side is not even in that class and it is a joke that they are in the position they are in.

It is down to the manager and also the players to pull this round. If I was in charge I would be giving some of them a last warning and that includes the manager.

This softly, softly approach isn't working. Time for somebody or crack the whip.

"Scientists actually say that there is a fine line between genius and insanity – something to do with a gene called neuregulin 1 which plays a role in brain development but is also associated with psychosis."

Local hack who covers footy extends his thimbleful of talent into genetics.

This has to be a new low even for the Echo.

Hilarious.

There is no chance he will be sacked in the summer, if we stay up he has "kept us up" and had a good run in the Europa and deserves another season,if we go down it wont matter, he has to go now.
Correct.

If we get clear in the next game or so, That's it. Panic over.

That's completely it. People on this board fail to understand how dreadful we truly were. I remember growing up as a kid in the 90s and it was as miserable as it gets, he transformed the club and laid some fantastic foundations for Martinez to inherit.

It'd be a travesty if all that gets tossed away now. I don't care who the manager is but as a club we've got to get it right this summer otherwise it's going to be a return to those dark days.
That's just ridiculous, and wishful thinking. With the finances EFC have at their disposal, the only way we can remain competitive is with a DM type manager, and a DM type playing philosophy. We don't have the top notch players to succeed with Martinez tic tac football. You need to have Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd, type finances to be able to buy world class players to do that. This sorry season has proved it. All the other PL managers have worked us out, and Martinez doesn't have a plan B. I'd rather have Moyesy back and finishing in the top half of the table, than be watching the putrid dross that we've had to endure this season under Martinez. Last season? The Moyes hard to beat influence was still there. It's long gone now!!

Complete revisionism. Martinez has conned you. He's not a forward thinking manager. His football last season or this season is no better than Moyes. He plays at least 2 dms and we still go back to front usually via a hoof from Howard. In fact this season the hoofing has been worse than ever, the only difference is 500 passes acrosd the bavk 4 have preceded it. Fellaini cast Moyes in a certaon light but before his arroval we had midfields of Arteta, Osman, Pienaar and Cahill, we were playing boss one touch football putting 20 tap ins on a plate for Yakubu. The difference was if Moyes had a midfield of his top players we would play a good style, if he had Rodwell Neville and Yobo in there he wouldn't ask them to play the same way. He'd go agricultural if it meant a result. Martinez is asking Barry Naismith and Lennon to play like Barca. He's deluded.

Are you seriously still making a case for that ginger ball bag to be taken seriously as a football manager who could think tactically, rather than a drill instructor who could spot a good deal for players?

That's never going to fly.

Moyes was a pudding. Revisionism in the wake of a bad season for Martinez will never work.
