That's what I was thinking and team selection tactics and subs have been baffling at times.Nothing at all.
He keeps playing the same way whatever the result.
He has had ample time to change but can't see anything wrong.

that's not funnyHe wont get sacked.
Well it's a big decision to make isn't it - sacking a manager? Especially big given the first season in charge.
As I've said: we are 6 points above danger. The bottom four are hopeless, imo. What is the urgency here? There is none as I and other reasonable people see it...that is why I say kneejerk.
that's not funny
That's probably because there isn't one.Struggling to think of a reason why he should stay now.
Do you think if he doesn't loose his job before Newcastle game anything will change?
Again I voted to keep Martinez. The experience of Moyes has taught me, to stick with managers through difficult times. He is still a young manager, and much like Moyes I think he will show he can learn from this experience and come out of the other side. We can only really judge that next season though. My view on giving managers time will only change if it looks like we are in a perilous position.
At present we are in no imminent danger and still have an outside chance of getting into the Champions league and winning a European trophy. We still have a 6 point advantage. I am not saying that it's good enough, because we have that advantage based on teams being awful not us being good. But what I'm saying is, I would only jettison the principle of giving a manager time at a time when we looked headed for relegation.
I think the next 3 games have once again become huge for him. If we fail to beat Kiev and Newcastle and lose at QPR then I think it may be time to review the situation again. That would probably leave us around 3 points outside of the drop zone and in all likelihood ready for the chop. If we lose our next 3 then it will be hard to see him surviving.
I suspect Royle would come in to the end of the season and we'd have enough to get ourselves over the line to safety.
Alternatively if we win our next 3 (which is about as likely as us losing all 3) then things begin to look up again. We have 34 points so all but safe and stand a good chance of being in the quarter finals of a cup competition.
The next 3 games are critical.
To the 25% thus far sticking by Martinez against the howls of the kneejerkers and Kopites: stick with it lads...after the next PL match against Newcastle is over we will be joined by the others and WE will be in the majority again. Dont be unnerved by the defeatists and doom mongers.
These polls should be put up at least an hour after the match I think. 10 minutes after the match finishes it's already skewed massively in favour of "get him out" because everyone is annoyed at the game. It was 90/10 shortly after the game and now it's 70/30 after people have had time to think.
This all over.
My patience is wearing very thin with Martinez but as you said moyes reign was full of ups and downs and you don't get anywhere in football with knee jerk reactions.
If we sack him now, who are we going to bring in?
Surely a record points haul last year can't just be discarded. He's earnt himself another chance because he's got that season in the bank. Give him the summer and the first quarter of next season to try and sort it out and if it's still going the same way then get shut.
If we stay in the premiership and win the europa league then in ten years time the season will be viewed as a success
