People need to settle down and stop panicking.

Martinez isn't going to be sacked by Kenwright - there'll be no sacking when Everton are 6 points above the relegation zone.

The fume will die down and we'll move toward the EL tie with Kiev and Newcastle. Then we'll see from there.

Stop giving yourselves a heart attack. We'll get out of this with the present managerial structure in place. Have no doubt of that.
I agree with you that we will survive this season but I would say that is not due to the manager and more to do with the teams below us being more [Poor language removed] than we are.He was like a breath of fresh air last season but that counts for nothing now.Kenwright must surely be close to sacking him but would love the kudos of being a chairman who stood by his man when the masses were calling for his head( much like yourself) but its a risky game which could prove costly and blow up in his face.
Also there seems to an assumption that by bringing in a new man means we cant progress in the Europa I actually feel its the opposite as we can not continue to play as openly as we have been when we meet the better sides and a manager with a bit of savvy would have more chance of progressing.
Ultimately its up to you Bill "Do ya feel lucky ?" well do ya Bill ?

Yes. Because thats all we can do.

I'm embarrassed for this lot tonight.

They will be proven to have jumped the gun in a big way soon enough.

Dont be on the wrong side of history. Martinez will see this through.
I'm quickly running out of optimism, but for now I still agree. As I said with the Arsenal result, we lost to an in-form Stoke side. Of course we can make excuses like that for every game and are going to have to start winning sooner or later.

At the same time, I see the same criticisms repeated on here about him being too stubborn to change the playing style (though we've clearly changed our style), how he sticks with his favorites (apart from Howard, everyone has been dropable this season), and other things that don't quite make sense. Does anyone honestly believe we lost today because we passed the ball too much? It's like Sky shoved the rhetoric about Martinez's style of play down our throats for all of last season, and now it's so ingrained in people's head that they can't see that what's happening on the pitch looks nothing like it.

So while I obviously understand why people want him out, a lot of the reasons for it don't really make sense. I'm not really sure what I think anymore, don't really feel like I can think straight after that match.

I can't believe theres people talking about 3 points and we're safe.

The same people were moaning about coming 6th every season and how it was stale, now they're like 3pts and we can get up to the dizzy heights of 12th.

Pure delusion, we've won SIX [Poor language removed] GAMES all season and it's March, that's the same as QPR.

I still think it's a case of surviving, getting the horror-show of a domestic campaign consigned to history, having a real crack at the Europa and then giving him one last chance to not make the same pre-season cock up in the summer. Had QPR won, I may have had to reconsider.

There are absolutely no excuses for this season. We have had some terrible luck with injuries in addition to the pre-season that seemed to see us slip up as soon as we were out of the blocks, but there is no doubt this season counts against Martinez in a big way.

I think, as terrible for us as his tactics seem to be in the premier league this season, they seem to be working a treat in the EL, which is our last shred of hope of making something of this campaign. 17th and an EL win would still be the best season we've had in decades. It is our last shot at having a positive summer. This remains my stance as long as we're not in immediate danger of dropping into the bottom 3. At the moment we are 6 points clear with a much superior GD. I still maintain that there's virtually no chance of relegation thanks to Arsenal tonight.

Don't mock folk with learning difficulties
Does the guy has some form of learning difficulty? It's beyond cringe-worthy/laughable now.

Before some righteous [Poor language removed] jumps over me - its a serious question, not a wind up.

People defending him by saying, oh the teams below won't pick up X amount of points...oh [Poor language removed] whop di [Poor language removed] do...staying up by default.

Get the jobsworth gone.

look what it's doing to @davek...

Ha Ha.

Still in control mate.

We'll get this right and turn it next game in the PL.

I can't really vote for either of them.

He's doing a horrible job at present, but he's not getting sacked. It's more than likely we will get the points needed to stay up and start from scratch. He's frustrating the hell out of me but again, there's no point wishing him out because Kenwright will not be sacking him. No choice but to support and hope.

We never even looked like winning though.
We were beaten in the tunnel.
To play the same tactics again is crazy.

We won't need 40 to survive. As terrible as we are I think 6 more points will do it. Now we can get those 6 the Everton way with 6 draws...or fluke a win or 2 somewhere preferably
What have we become that we have to fluke a win or a draw. My heads in my hands.
