I reckon the players began to lose confidence after letting a 2-0 lead against Arsenal slip.

Makes me sad.

I like to think it can be turned around though.
 
Wigan had 2 more points at this stage then we have now, i just cant see an outcome for this rot under Martinez that we are going to like.
 

6 points ahead with 10 games to go, superior goal difference, none of the bottom 3 looking like they're putting a run together and we have to play 4 of the bottom 5.

We can fume about the position we are in, the style of play etc etc, but we are not going down.

Unless QPR get something from Spurs Saturday. I won't be as confident with only a 3 point cushion

Points will determine that obviously, and we managed 1 at home to the bottom side, how anybody can say with all seriousness we are not going to be drawn in is a mystery to me.

Don't even look like scraping a win at present.
 

I know there are teams worse than us and no we probably won't go down simply because of those worse teams, but i'll breathe a hell of a lot easier when we're mathematically safe. I'd even have us bow out of Europe quick sharp if it meant picking up league points.

It will be a cert when its mathematically sure
 
Teams below are poor so probaly avoid going down but who knows? .. If and big IF Martinez goes I would like to see Big Dunc in charge till end of season but .. does anyone remember Shearer in charge of Newcastle??? Didn't they go down from a similar position? Correct me if I'm wrong..
 
People keep saying we're not going down. Where is the next goal coming from? Genius Roberto has removed our clean sheets. We'd be safe now if Robles had stayed in goal with probably 2 or 3 points more. Regardless of what other teams do we have to get to around 36 points. We oculd very easily only pick up 4 or 5 out of the next ten games. One team out of the bottom three will at some point win one or two on the spin. Happens every year. They have a miracle great escape and we will slump in. Until we are mathematically safe, we're not safe. Not even close to being safe. Villa have just taken three points out of us for a start. if we lost to QPR and Villa both away (very feasible given our away form) we are in massive trouble. We have the width of the Jagielka's lace at Crystal Palace to thank for not being nailed on. The clown has got to go.
